Visitor Policy

Special Visits & Celebrations
We encourage families to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and
special occasions with residents. Please contact the management team in advance for larger gatherings or room reservations.

Visiting Hours
Residents may have visitors at any time if the visit does not disrupt other residents. Quiet hours are observed from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM to support the residents’ rest and comfort. Overnight guest(s) are prohibited unless approval prior approval is granted from facility administration.

Visitor Expectations
To help ensure a positive environment for everyone, we kindly ask visitors to:

• Sign in at the front desk upon arrival when required.
• Respect resident privacy and care routines.
• Keep noise levels appropriate in common areas and hallways.
• Supervision of children at all times during visits.
• Refrain from visiting if experiencing symptoms of illness such as fever, cough, vomiting, or other contagious conditions.
• Follow all infection prevention or safety guidelines in place.
• Animals visiting are welcome but must be well-behaved, under control at all times, and current on vaccinations. Animals may not spend the night.

Resident Safety & Well-Being
Certain residents may have individualized care plans or physician recommendations that could affect visitation. Visitors may be asked to step out temporarily during medication passes, personal care, or medical treatments. For the safety of all residents, disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

Dining & Common Areas
Visitors are welcome to enjoy common areas respectfully. Guests wishing to join a resident for a meal should notify staff in advance when possible; a guest meal fee applies. Outside food may be permitted unless restricted by a resident’s dietary plan.

Infection Prevention
Franciscan Shore reserves the right to adjust visitation practices during periods of increased illness activity, outbreaks, or public health concerns in accordance with local and state guidance.
